Crystal Schouten graduated from the McKay Massage and Hydrotherapy Program in 2007, where she received a diploma with honors and a clinical excellence award. Since graduating she has become a registered therapist with the Massage Association of Saskatchewan, which allows her to work on private insurance claims, SGI injury claims as well as WCB injuries.Crystal aims to provide a relaxing and healing environment. It is her belief that you have to look at the body as a whole when treating it; “You really want to get to the root of their discomfort whether it be physically, emotionally, mentally or energetically. If you treat one, you must treat them all.”

Massage Therapists have to be prepared for whatever comes into their office as people come in all different sizes and shapes. She believes there is no one treatment to fix them all, nor should all clients have the same treatment as the next. Utilizing a wide range of techniques and modalities such as; Myofascial release, Trigger Point Therapy, Craniosacral and Reiki allows Crystal to create an individual treatment plan for each client to optimize results.

Passion for healing and aiding her clients to optimal health has lead Crystal to having a special interest in women’s health, specifically maternal health. Holding additional education in Pregnancy Massage, Doula Training and becoming a Certified Infant Massage Instructor allows Crystal to have a well-rounded practice. “When it comes to birth I believe in empowering women to make informed choices.”

Crystal feels a balanced approach is an integral part of any healing process. It is her intention to help each of her clients find that balance for themselves. Her compassion shows through her hands; “I absolutely love what I do and I think that it shows in my dedication to seeing each and every one of my clients reach their health goals.”
